Artist Talk and Open Studios: Tyna Adebowale and Jelili Atiku
Arthouse Foundation hosted an Artist Talk and Open Studios with residents Tyna Adebowale and Jelili Atiku on November 19, 2016. Adebowale spoke about her ongoing project depicting women from marginalized social communities in Nigeria, while Atiku spoke about his project "The People's Welfare Party," which constructs a fictional Nigerian political party. The Open Studios unveiled Tyna's interactive installation that explores the notion of borders and boundaries, while Jelili performed outside the foundation on Norman Williams Street. The event also included performances by students in Jelili Atiku's recently concluded workshop.
